Newly Acquired

Hi Friends.  I have a few new things to show you.  The two things on the left are magazines I purchased at Barnes and Noble last evening, during a wild thunderstorm I might add.  It was safer to stay inside and buy something, you see, so that's what I did.  Oh, and the two items on the right were found at goodwill.  I love going there.  I always find something useful.  Like my salad bowl (you can visit it by clicking on the page, cottage girl garden, at the top of this blog).  But, anyway, aren't these fun new acquisitions?

A cup of coffee, some graham crackers (inside a glass container I found at, you guessed it, goodwill), and a new magazine. What a wonderful way to start the morning.

Land Love.  I've never seen it before.  It's full of gardening tips, recipes, and stories.  Well, I haven't actually been through the whole magazine yet, and that's why this post is going to end now.  Oh, but I should say something about that coffee mug (please don't look at the coffee dribbles).  I bought it at Starbucks in Illinois just across the border from Missouri.  The inscription reads;  "Proudly serving those who serve".  Here's what the Starbucks site had to say about it.

"Proudly serving those who serve" is the inspiration behind this mug—and the message written on its rim.
Featuring a military star beside our Siren, this special mug is a collaboration between Starbucks and American Pioneer Manufacturing, a recently restored ceramics factory in New Waterford, Ohio. The mug combines the pride and spirit of the Ohio Valley with high-quality, made-in-USA manufacturing. Holds 14 fl oz. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
So, have a good day, friends.  I hope you enjoyed the blog.  Love ya!
